Default Truck won't start

According to my little Haynes book, looks like it's a starter problem. It started just like normal this morning, this evening nothing. All lights, radio, wipers work fine so I'm ruling out the battery. Starter motor spins but doesn't get the motor to even turn over? Any help is appreciated

if the starter motor spins and engine doesnt turn it could be a bad flexplate missing the teeth so the starter has nothing to grab on to or the starter isnt getting enough power to engage to the flexplate

Disconnect the battery and drop the starter (easy, 2 bolts) Remove the inspection cover (2 more little bolts I think) and see if the teeth on the flexplate are damaged. If not, then remove the starter wires and have it inspected by the auto parts store. There is a mechanism in the starter that pushes the teeth into the flex plate but I forgot what it's called, it may be bad. Good luck and keep us posted.

It's called the bendix. May be spelled wrong, but thats what it is called.
