its not gonna "relearn". It will kinda adaptive to idle but driveability is due to tuning. Dont ***** foot around it. Bottom line it needs a good tune and a dyno tune if you want driveability and WOT all at once.

Amen. Do not look for "Band-Aids" here. You need your tune worked over.

I understand that it needs to be retuned. I just wanted to get it to run long enough to bring it up to operating temp, so I could check coolant level ok before my tuner comes. He should be here in about 2 weeks, I'll keep my fingers and toes crossed. Once I get her running, I will try and post a clip or at least a pic of her. Went with the all stock look and had the stock rims widened on the rear($280). Running 285/60/16 on rear and 245/70/16 on front. Thanks again for all your help!

You can bring it up to operating temp with no adverse effects, just don't go driving around like a wild man thinking your truck will run fine. I'm in the same boat you are in right now + a few other mods. It barely idles if it's up to temp other than that it doesn't wanna do anything, I can warm her up and driver her around my parking lot and across the street for some gas but other than that I'm waiting for a proper tune.

Two foot it until you get it tuned, I wouldn't go permanently drilling the throttle blade for a temporary fix, just my .02

So here's a question for all. When I changed the cam the first time from stock to the ZO6 cam, I had very little issues with the cam swap (of course it ran better after being retuned), why now? Does it have something to do with the duration or LSA changing?? I know I got the timing right. I even went as far as buying a top dead center tool and checked it over and over with a LS1 tech mechanic buddy of mine before I took the top gear off for the oil pump and chain swap. Then unplugged the coil packs, pulled the fuel pump relay and turned the engine over a few time listening for valve to piston noise or anything. Nothing, sounded fine! Besides that ticking at the initial start that went away after a few minutes (lifters pumping up with oil) everything went fine.

The Z06 cam is alot closer to stock specs. Your new cam is much more aggressive-have it tuned for the cam and it will be fine.
