Default truck weights?

i am a little confused, i thought the 4wd ext cabs were around 5500lbs but there is a c3 guys saying he only weighs 5025lbs. wouldn't a c3 be very close to the same weight as a regular 4wd?

it seems to me either the c3 is heavier or the 4wd is lighter, anyone know?

I would tend to think a little of both. But, I guess I could see a C3 come in at 5K. Mine weighs about 4550 bone stock. That is based off of my 4836 track weight. Take out 50# for wheel/tire combo, 70# sub box, 25# for amps and wires, 100#'s for snugtop, and then empty the gas tank, I should be about 4550#'s. So I can see 5025 on a C3. But 5500#'s on a 4x4 seems a little high.

I think 5500 is too high. I weighed in at almost 5100. Thats with a toolbox.

Without driver and little fuel - between 5050 and 5150. It depends on your options. Elec seats, hitch, etc... change the weight.

I weighed my truck at the track, it weighed 4810 lbs with a 1/3 of a tank of gas. That was in full street trim (jack, tailgate, etc.), it's configuration is in my signature.

I weighed my truck when it was brand new, and it weighed 4680 lbs. w/o driver, but with a bed mat.(aprox 70 lbs.) That is real heavy, for a 2wd. short bed, reg. cab. The truck has alot of options though, power seats, tract. cont. hd. suspension, but no trailer hitch.
