Default Truck update!

I've been busy with work and the Z28 so I haven't had time to do much to the truck lately, but I'll be testing out some new mods tonight:

75 wet shot (42N pill)
ASP UD Pulleys
28" ET Streets

Hoping for 9.20's (1/8th) or better tonight.
I'm planning on going up to a 125 shot soon but I didn't have time to change my plugs (still stockers). I'll also be doing a posi with 4.10s in the next few weeks. My ultimate goal is 12.90s on the slicks and 13.90s on the street tires.

PS. The V6 Sonoma was able to haul my 4500 Z28+trailer 250 miles no problem, up hills, at 60-70mph the whole trip. Doesn't sag in the back either. It even got 16mpg while towing (18mpg normal).

What wheels are you running for the ET streets? You have any backspacing issues?

Plug change on the 4.3 is nearly as bad as the LT1.

I'll see you @ Irwindale tonight.

That is great MPG, I din't expect that.

Good luck with the truck... I have decided to put the N20 back on and hunt for 13's before the 4.8 comes out.

Funny story, they are old steel 2nd gen rims I had sitting around that I've used with my last 4 FBodies. They stick out of a 4th gen about 2" on each side. I finally bought real light weight rims for the 2001, and mounted up my extra ET streets to these old rims. They fit the Sonoma perfectly! (Don't stick out at all).

I got there late and only took a couple runs. My best was 9.13@76 2.06 60' time. I'm sure I can get that 60' down to 1.8 with no other changes. Hopefully I'll have some gears and a posi in before next time.

I swapped 5 out of 6 plugs and threw the 125 shot on (55N 31F). At 1000psi bottle pressure the truck feels pretty good now.

I've got an extra 3.73/posi 4th gen rear end sitting around in the garage. I'm going to try to have someone move the 3.73s/posi from it in to the truck before next Thursday. Richard ready for that run next week?

Plug change in that motor remind you of the ol' LT1 days?

Unless your adding a 125HP on top of your 75HP I really don't have much to worry about...unless you have figured a way to drop 1.1 secs in the eigth some other way?

Unfortnatley, I will not be at Irwindale this Thursday anyway...work and all.
