Default Truck Is A Turd On n2o....

Well guys it looks like I'm having some problems that we didn't expect When g-teching the truck on n2o I'm only picking up about5-6 tenths & only about 3mph on the 100 shot The weird thing is o2's are in the 900-910s and the knock retard is about 2.5-4.0 no matter if its n/a or n2o runs. Timing peak is 31 degrees, but with all the timing she's pulling we usually only see about 27 degrees.

Anyone have any ideas on why this truck responds so poorly to n2o? We've seen the 5.3L dyno on the 100 shot, but it pulled 7 degrees of KR instantly, now its not doing that, but its not pulling hard either Opinions??

LOL I dont really think its slipping, but the mph should still be there. Its almost like it just said screw this & lost about 75rwhp. You dont even feel the 100 or 150 shot, you just hear a little change in performance We're going to clear the computer & try again..

Tranny slippage?

Bad bottle pressure?

That is a lot of KR but you should still not feel that..If the truck is running well on ATAP, why not just test it at the track..IF your street testing then you may have tire slippage and that will cost you a bunch of ET..Even on G tech..With your bad *** set up, you have to boil the tires on the street.. I would think at the weight of your truckand mods you already have, that 7 to 8 tenths drop in ET from a 100 shot would be about right..

Tranny slipage is possible and the converter could also have to much stall under the nitrous..I say go to the track and knock off that 12.6 Sounds like your truck is running real good..

Wheel-spin is a factor on the street, even when using the ET Streets. I haven't felt the problem Jason is talking about yet, maybe I'll check it out late tonight if he's got any n20 left.

I don't see the Sulfur Dioxide as something that would lower performance....Doesn't it actually act as a lubricant?

I am still unsure why you are getting so much KR. I have not ataped my truck lately but I have not had any KR and my timing stays around 28 or so when on the 100 shot without any retard or problems. This is also on 93 oct. gas and with the normal vehicle n2o w/ the sulfur.
