Default truck stumbles after WOT runs

well i thought it was my plugs so it never really bothered me before. But I switched them out and put some TR-55's in there. And still most of the time after I get on it, after i let off the truck stumbles like its missing or getting to much gas. Actaully feels like its running off 7 cylinders After roughly 10-20seconds usually it clears up and goes back to its usual self. Any ideas as to whats causing this? Its a 98, but it should still have the same basic issues as the newer ones.
its ticking me off, because she runs so good at WOT or everyday driving, but after i get on it this crap happens.

only mods: AIRAID intake and dynomax bullet dual exhaust
i do have 32/11.50/15's on the truck, but that shouldnt affect anything like that.

Must ask, What do ya mean by "stumbles" after you let off?

Eitherway, it does sound like a fuel issue.......

but hell what do I know.......

Run a couple of bottles of Techron through it. It sounds like the post injector poppet valve(s) are sticking after you get on it. Also would'nt be a bad idea to check your fuel pressure. Your pump could be getting weak as its gettin on in years. Good luck.

Read your post 98TA and thought I had the answer for you through my very own experience. Mine too would also feel like the engine was missing for a short few seconds after wide open throttle. I found the cause of the problem on mine though! It was the DAMN $400 Granetelli Mass Air sensor causing the misfire on my truck, or whatever was going on. I put the stock mass air sensor back on and now the truck is even faster than it was with NO misses.
Piece of **** Granetelli!
Anyone want to buy it? $100

But as for your problems, your right with just those mods it doesn't make sense. Exhaust and air filter shouldn't be causing that?
Good luck finding the culprit!
Really thought I was about to help someone out on this site!

Ill try the bottle of techron and see if that helps. I was wondering if my injectors may be sticking open. Probably needs some injector cleaner now anyway... 64k miles still isnt to high though

Ya, its cheap and easy to do. I had a similar problem on my 98 at about 50k. Those funky poppet valves they use downstream of the injectors seem to be prone to sticking either open or closed. They had a TSB on it (don't remember the number) that instructed the service techs to disconnect the fuel and block it off then use a high pressure canister of cleaner to run through it.
I never took mine in and did that though, just ran some Techron through it and it helped for a good 10k at a time.
