Default Truck is pinging, wondering if MAF could be reason

I have a 4.8L with a K&N FIPK and a GRANATELLI MASS AIR FLOW SENSOR. Under heavy acceleration it is pinging. I think it is because of the Granatelli, what do you guys think. I am going to put the stocker back in and see if it helps. I have heard the Granatelli could make the truck run lean. It is calibrated for a stock intake so that could make it even worse.

Thats probably it. As far as I know, all the guys on here that are making big power are doing it through the stock maf.

If you want you can always run higher octane gas. I have a Granatelli MAF and mine runs just fine. I also have HPIII also. I am running Nitrous so I have it set to 87 octane on the programmer but I also run 93 octane in my truck at all times cause I never know when Im going to spray.

Try changing your fuel filter first,I did that and it cured the problem.

Yeah it looks like the MAF is going back to stock, I will be doing it tonight. I would say it could be the fuel filter but the truck only has 10,800 miles on it. I will tell you guys what I find out.
