Question Truck owners with odometer MPG readout, a question..

I have always had good luck using the MPG readout option on the odometer. It seems to be fairly consistant, in that it usually reads about .5 to .75 MPG higher than what I am actually getting.

Now that I have the Whipple on, should I expect it to remain as consistant? I assume that it uses a vacuum signal to calculate it's reading. Will the new combination of vacuum and boost mess with it's little brain and give me screwy readings?

I'd bet that it uses the TPS, crank sensor, and l-trims to calculate MPG......a vacuum signal seems WAY too old-school

Mine has never been correct. Always about 1mpg high. Before and after charger install.

Mine has always been off too, but still consistantly off. I can pretty much count on it after correcting for the usual difference. So yours is at least still somewhat consistant after the supercharger install?

Yes, or was when I first installed the charger. Haven't looked at it in awhile. I just calculate actual.

Mine was pretty acurate with and without the supercharger, usually only about .2 mpg off. Problem is it says 12.5 mpg!
