Mine is only the second SSR to get the Radix, I am the only one selling so far. The other SSR is keeping his. Whatever mine sells for is anyones guess, I dont think it will get much higher. I should have seperated everything, the engine cover with the painted plate and SSR goes for over $150.00 then the injectors and fuel rails should get at least $100.00. I dont think the auction will get much over $250.00 in the end. I can keep you posted.

If I had the money I would get it but the 408 has already sucked up all my money. Yeah if you see an SSR intake for sale please PM me.

Heres my limited understanding of volume and velocity. Unless ur at work try this. Put your hand in front of your mouth and blow as hard as you can like your blowing up a balloon. See how theres pressure on your hand for several seconds. Thats the effect of torque on the cylinders. Now open your mouth wide and blow as hard as you can. With the same amout of air you get a puff that pushes a lot but doesnt last. Not much torque but big hp in the cylinders. If you had bigger lungs the second way would really push your hand away. Thats why truck intakes are good for torque and ls1 intakes are good for hp in n/a situations. Short runners and long runners could be equated with how far your hand is from your mouth. The farther your hand is the more air it takes to affect it. With f/i u put enough volume to over come the difference like the water cuters that put out jets that slice through metal. Theres tons of other factors but remember I said limited understanding.

Truck intake - Long tube runners = higher velocity into the cylinders...good low end torque, chokes at higher rpms as the higher volume of air needed per second to fill all of the cylinders is restricted by the long tubes. See TPI engine.

Car intake - Short to Mid Length runners - Less low end torque than long tube runners, but supplies the volume needed at higher rpms for high hp. Think individual throttle bodies for an extreme case.

your engine is a constant volume pump. it is going to suck 5.3 liters of air whether it be through a staw or LS7 top end. The mass will varry.

Anyway, here is the important thing about intakes. What powerband they are tuned for. That has to do mainly with thier runner lengths. think of it more as a cam than a catback.

its why F1 cars have intake runners that are always changing length.
they grown and shrink a good amount. very cool stuff.

check out the S7 intake manfifold (top left corner)
6500 rpm. not exactly short

that ssr intake looks pretty much like a truck intake to me just not as tall.
