truck fuel injector flow rate
#1
can you guys help me identify injector Pt # 25320288? They are off a truck rail but I have no idea of flow rate...I assume the trucks still use 55lb pressure?
Thanks in advance...

Delphi # / Dealer # = description
--------------------------------------------
253XXXXX / 17113582 = 21.5 lb/hr 99' 4.8/5.3
253XXXXX / 17113553 = XX.X lb/hr 99' 6.0
25317628 / 17113698 = 26.0 lb/hr 00'-01' 4.8/5.3/6.0
253XXXXX / 17124531 = 30.0 lb/hr 00'-01' 8.1
25320288 / 171XXXXX = XX.X lb/hr ?
I still have many pieces of this puzzle to figure out myself. The trucks do run ~55 psi @ WOT

Richard, your figures are a little off. I spent quite a bit of time getting to know the truck fuel injectors. The injectors are rated at 58 psi, just like the cars (the fuel system may not keep up though).
1999 4.8/5.3 injectors - flow 21.7 lb/hr or 2.73 g/sec
2000/2001 4.8/5.3/6.0 injectors - flow 24.6 lb/hr or 3.12 g/sec
I pulled these directly from truck PCMs via LS1 edit. I haven't seen a PCM for a 99 6.0 or any 2001 trucks, sorry.

Your probably right...I observed those numbers (4.8/5.3/6.0 01 injectors) with 60 PSI of fuel pressure. I have not been able to find any publication with the rated flow and test pressure. I'm trying to see if I can get some clarification from a local dealer and Delphi direct. I'll be posting soon to show what I have found.

the old injector out of my 99 5.3 has the number 25320287, thats close but not quite the same.
you can get a set of 41's that will bolt right in from r. c. engenering but they will cost ya, seems like they were $600 something.

Oxidizer and BigTex, this is some useful info that I have been looking for also. It looks like the injectors on a "99" model 5.3 can be maxed out early on, around 320-330 h.p. Are these figures at 100% duty cycle? What increase could I expect per extra lb. of fuel press.? Our "99" has all the usual bolt ons, headers, exhaust, etc. but plan on doing cam & head work in the near future. Looks like I may need to be looking for a set of 2000 up model injectors. This is my first post in the truck forum. Thanks for any help/advice you can give me.
