I know it took me one whole weekend to put mine in. I think I could probably do it in half that time now.

Yep it's in. IN THE BOX that is. I screwed round to long last night with the kids and decided I didn't want to be up past midnight. After all of you guys put the fear of screwing up in me saying 6 hours plus. Do you have any idea how much beer I could drink in 6 hours? Damn thing might go in backward while in D by 2:00 am. I that a good enough excuse? Plus I did decide to do the vette servo. I gotta hand it to Hyde, his tranny setup rocks. So, I'll be doing the kit w/2 washers and the vette servo. BTW, my n20 stuff should be coming in tomarow. It honestly looks like I may have to wait for school to start for the kids to start putting this stuff in. They start on the 18th and I start my 7 off on the 19th, so that looks like a good time to get it all in.

Fast4.8....Let me know if you want some help. I did mine myself over a two day period. And everything works great. So, if you need a hand let me know. I don't mind getting dirty every once in a while.

hiho: That is not a dumb question, it is an honest one. The Transgo is a shift kit. It shifts the tranny quicker and more efficiently. It firms up the shifts beyond what the Hypertech can do. It more or less prolongs the life of the tranny by not letting glide into the next gear. It just basically slams into the next gear.

Dutch: No it is not in yet. I won't be doing it until I get the vette servo. Yes, the cars at MTI will give a 105 year old man wood.

Here is the best tip: don't be confused when there is one extra checkball left over from the installation. (At least I hope that was right ) The video reinstalls six checkballs when seven of them come out. I was confused and jumped on the internet to find that this was normal. The video should really tell you this especially for the first timers who are afraid they just screwed up their trans. I took about an entire day to do it and sweat off about five pounds laying on the 120* concrete in my driveway! I used one washer for the 1-2 accumulator and no washers on the servo (the band would not move with any of them installed). It shifts crisply now, and I can shirp second when in the high revs. In the accumulator bag of parts there is another way to set it up using two white springs and no washers. I read somewhere that this was like having two washers. Oh yeah, they must have a hella deep trans. pan on that Impalla. You should be good to go. It really isn't that hard with the video - just time consuming. Good Luck Greg
