Default Transgo

Decided i will finally put this in, getting tired of the damn tm. Got a couple questions concerning performance and install. Anyone install it themselves if not how much did it cost to have it installed? Also is it ok for towing and such with the transgo and less TM? How much TM should be removed when just installing the transgo? Well on a second note i have a buddy who has a 02 Fx4 ecsb with the 5.4, with k&n intake and thats about it besides superchips power chip. well he thinks he can keep up with me and i told him he didnt stand a chance!! just wondewring how you think he would do against me since we never can get a good time to race? sorry for the length!!

$25--450 for an install is about what I'd expect. TqMgt would be dependant on power output level and such...

I'd like to add that torque management isn't removed through a shift kit. It has to be removed through a program like LS1edit.

Hmmm, I think I read that wrong. I thought he was saying he was going to remove TM through the shift kit.

I paid $275 for my install on Transgo kit, vette servo, and cooler but I was also quoted $410 and $430 from two other places!!!! I ended up using the cheapest because they build a decent tranny(transmissioncenter.net) then I found out they were crooks but at least they did a good job on my install for a good price!!
The guy @ Jag down in San Antonio said he usually charges $225 for those three mods so look for that price range!

they give you any kind of warranty on the shift kit? My truck came with the Tranny cooler is it not a good cooler or is the any advantages to a aftermarket cooler? Also anyone know of a good trany shop in tucson?
