Is that a direct plug in or will I have to take it in for programming?

the cluster is a direct plug in;
you would just have to worry about the mileage transfer

I have thought about that. running a 100psi gauge up threw my cowl in the hood so I could see it from the cab.

I think an electric oil sending unit should work without having to pay lots cause it says FUEL

I agree with the cluster swap for the trans temp gauge. I have the denali cluster and it works great. It is plug and play and it will reset your mileage back to 0. Its a 10 minute swap. It also gives you a 120 MPH speedo. The escalade cluster will be more $$$ but gives you chrome rings around the gauges.
