trans ?'s in ls1edit

Which trans mode in ls1edit is the tow/haul mode....the Normal or the Performance ??...I have D/L'd a '99 6.0/4L80 flash and it looks to me that there are no differences between the two except in Torque Reduction....and the Normal mode looks to have less reduction than the Performance mode...so where do I find the differences and what are the benifits of Tow/Haul...I know they are there, I just can't/don't know where to find them, also...I have read in other posts that the Tow/Haul mode has lower shift points and lower downshift speeds...that is not the case with this flash (and it IS a stock flash)...are the 4L60 and 4L80 programs that much different....because if they are I want to revise a previous post about swapping and plugging in a 4L80....it was done...but now that I see the shift points and line pressure differences between the two I don't think a swap without programing would be good for the 4L80...shift points are WAY lower than the 4L60...it should still be a plug and play after a PCM flash though
I am trying to figure this all out before I break down and purchase a Cable and License so and help would be great

Yelo - I talked with Speartech about swapping a 4L80E into a 4L60E equipped truck. It seems that the software that runs the trans is different and would require a reflash to a 4L80E program. Then some of the wiring seems to be different. This requires rewiring a few of the trans harness wires and plugging in a wire to the main computer. I've got some measurements from L82gofast for the 1500HD crossmember and will be checking them on my 1500 reg cab early next week.
Tow/haul mode is the performance mode in LS1edit. The 4L80E programs seem to have the same shift points for all trans. modes. I haven't checked on the other trans parameters between the two. The 4L60E drops the shift points 400rpm in tow/haul mode. I never checked any other differences.
Now if somebody swapped a manual valve body 80E in that would save alot of headaches. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" /> You still might have to reflash to a manual trans program though. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Frown]" src="gr_sad.gif" />
Any chance of you seeing the guys that did the swap and asking them about it? <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

Where did you find the file to DL? I just got LS1Edit, and I would like to see a stock flash to copy, so I can take the superchips crap tune out of my truck(tuner box lost my original tune OEM) I saw an HPPIII flash file on the LS1Edit archives, but itwas the only one I saw. I must be looking in the wrong place! Help! Thanks alot! Sam

Hey this is a REMINDER to all who have LS1 edit files, whatever the year. Post the file on www.ls1edit.com under "LS1 edit flash library" at the bottom. It takes honestly one minute to download a file to their site and helps people tune for performance.
Mine is on there for my '99 5.3L truck. It is the ONLY other non-stock flash on there for a 1999 <img border="0" title="" alt="[Frown]" src="gr_sad.gif" />
Let's hepl eachother go faster! need a flash for something else on a '99 5.3L... let me know.
