Default Tranny Pan Cooler????? Joke??

I saw a tranny pan cooler that is supposed to double the fluids life by lowering the temp up to 50 degrees is this even worth the $70 there are going for? Does it replace the pan or is it supposed to go over it. The reason I ask is Ive never seen this before and I rean across it on the Whitney site!

LMFAO. A radiator cools your coolant about 40-50 degrees. The sump is a great place to add fluid and cool the oil because of its pretty hot and the hottest places are the easiest to cool. Prob worth $70 if you need to cooling.

You will only cool so much through the trans cooler. the closer it gets to ambient, the harder it is to pull heat out of. If you added 2 more HD trans coolers you would probobly see little gains in heat loss.

But if you are cooling "other" fluid its a good thing. I cant see the silverdo with a grille that big and a good AUX cooler having any overheating issues with the tests GM makes them run.
