tranny heating up

Well my tranny started to heat up yesterday, n well today I went to the store n the temp started goin up like crazy n then it started slipping also. Any ideas wat it is

It's got to be a 60E w/ no cooler.

Check your coolant. Be sure the cooler in the radiator didn't burst and start pouring coolant in your trans.
