Default Tranny coolers

I need to know brands, and model numbers of your tranny coolers, and where you got them. This is a late post, because I plan on doing this tomarrow.

I had no luck at the local parts house. According to them they don't even make one for my truck. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Roll Eyes]" src="images/icons/rolleyes.gif" /> <img border="0" title="" alt="[Roll Eyes]" src="images/icons/rolleyes.gif" />

They are universal (I don't what WTF the local parts guys meant) and you can go to PepBoys and get a Hayden rapid cool. If you want a factory look, buy the GM cooler for the Duramax that bolts on the front core support brace, you could even buy the hose with the quick disconnects.

Universal is what I ended up asking for. Then one of them said that they needed to know what size the threads were. I just left it at that, because I was in the other truck and didn't feel like arguing anymore.

**** dude, that sucks. i put in a hayden 406 i believe. just a basic tranny cooler. not the good one but a BIG one (said on the box its mainly for rv's and what not). there was also an adapter kit i needed to run it into the return line on the radiator. not sure but i believe it was hayden part #309.

i know for a FACT they sell these at oreilly's <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

Just to be sure, is the top line on the left side(if your standing in front) the return line? I would rather not heat her up to find out.

BTW, the Hayden # was 405 and the kit is #390. Thanks guys. Gonna do it today.
This is what all I'm gonna do: 60k tune up (58k actually)
1. Fuel filter
2. inspect rear and change rear end fluid (Mobil 1 75w90 w/GM posi additive)
3. Oil change (Mobil 1 10w30, A/C PF59)
4. Tranny cooler
5. Lower right side ball Joint (again)
6. 18 pack Bud Light and pat myself on the back. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

Jeff the upper ball joints only come with the arm from GM. They are press in and as far as I kow, GM doese not sell them separatly. When I replaced one of my uppers, it was $150, but that was over 18months ago. A lot may have changed since then. I just want piece of mind that every thing is intact down there. If you don't get in to much dirt, and keep it greased, they will still last a while w/o the boot.

Glad to see everything came together. I usually change the fuel filter around 12-15K just as a precautionary measure...cheap insurance.
