Default Tranny Broke 100k miles Promotion ...Company vechile

K guys so life is getting better. I am now in the position to work my truck over so to say. I am curious as to whether or not I could make my 04' 5.3 2wd capable of a reliable 450rwh with no power adders just engine? Don't get me wrong I would like to be pushing 500+ that way but I want a engine that would last. At this point I am in the position to do things the right way without skimping.. So please give me some suggestions.....

How about a stitch of info about the truck? Cab configuration, engine, power adders, gears, etc. Best bet is to talk to FLT and see what they suggest...may be OK with one of their Level7 65E's, or you may be on the edge of explode...Vince and Andy may recommend one of their 80E's to you...it may depend if you're a lighter weight 2wd rcsb, or a big fat crew cab 4x4 VortecMax...

450rwhp out of a 5.3 is going to be pretty close to impossible unless you spend top dollar on some heads, a perfectly spec'd cam, and perfect tune, and high compression.

Basically what I'm saying is it will be cheaper to ditch the 5.3 and throw a 6.0 in there, but you're still going to have to spend a few thousand to reach the 450+ range.

I agree, 450-500 stock bottom end 5.3 would be expensive. Cheaper to replace the entire powerplant with more cubes. Large investment and a large ammount of work required.

I some how missed the 5.3 part...as mentioned, 450 to the wheels is going to be tough without nitrous or boost...
