Default Tradin out the Flowmasters

I've been reading on here and everybody seems to say that flowmasters don't flow very well and to get some magnaflows. Well the mufflers i have on here now r 40 series delta flow, they sound good, but they actually get quieter as the rpm's get higher. I'm wanting a muffler that will flow better, not too quiet at idle, but i want to be able to hear it when i'm in the truck w/the windows up. The setup i have now is no cats, into an x-pipe , and i have tips out the sides behind the tire. I just want to take the flowmasters off and replace them with magnaflow. Any suggestions or part #'s will help. Also, one more thing, the throttle body bypass. How many HP that give ya? any? or does it just keep u from losing as much when it heats up, just curious.

pick up a Hooker (Aerochamber), sounds great when you get on them (it), deeper tone at idle than a 4x9x14 Magnaflow and flow great.

I have a pair of Borlas ProXS and their sound is awsome. Is not loud though, if you want loud you need to remove the cats. They have a deep bass like sound when idleing and a powerful rumble at WOT. Plus they are light, straight-thru design, and rust-free. Good quality.

I just put exhuast on my truck. I looked real hard at magnaflows but they sounded too much like glass packs for me. I went with dumped Aerochambers. They sound great.

SPEND YOUR MONEY SOMEWHERE ELSE. swapping a muffler really doesnt give you much power. especially one performance muffler for another. you even said you like the sound of the flowmasters. so keep them.

I'm actually not spending any money at all, actually getting some back. I got a killer deal on my exhaust. I had my cats cut, new pipe run off the stock manifolds, O2 Sims put in, X-pipe, two delta flow 40 series flowmasters, into 2 huge 4x18 inch chrome tips out behind the back tire. I was only charged $275 for parts and labor. It's nice having friends that do exhaust work. And i've already got someone wanting the flows, i told him $120 plus pay to get mine cut off. I can get 2 hooker aerochambers put on for $75, so i'm getting better flow and a tank of gas out of this deal.
