before my tt3000 install - no wheel spin unless torque braking

after tt3k install - slight wheelspin and then takeoff (on the street)

after predator - wheelspin for about 7-10 feet

(this is weird) at the track - no traction whatsoever, even easing it down led to wheel spin - put spare tire back in bed and regained a little traction but not nearly enough to floor it off the line. Never went in water box, tried many methods of launching and slight burnouts (started just be spinning them over a few times to clean them off and ended up getting aggrivated and roasting them, which suprizingly helped the launch on street tires)

now on the street w/50 shot = like I'm on ice

Once I get ahold of some et streets or drag radials, its track time again.

Sticky tires and good weight transfer will definately hook your truck you'd probably have trouble spinning the Drag Radials enough to keep the truck from boging.I know that's hard for you to beleive but it's the truth, especially with 3.42 gears. The Caltracs are traction bars they prevent wheel hop,not wheel spin.

Buy a set of 255/50R16s and mount them on your stock rims. The 26" diameter will help your gearing about 10% and your traction problems will be a thing of the past.

get yourself a set of caltrac's and a set of m/t et streets. That will solve your problem. I get 1.7 60' times with caltrac's and 28x11.5 et's. drag radials are nice but et's are more worth the money imo.

The only way I know of this would be by using TQM, which pulls timing at abusive instances, like launching and shifting. This will slow down your 60' times a good bit.

Locking the torque converter defeats the purpose of buying a higher stall converter. You don't want to lock it off the line. If you lock it in D at a stop (while your staged and fixing to launch) it will kill the engine. If you lock it during a run, it will kill the wonderful torque multiplier that the converter does and you would still be leaving a lot of power on the table.

ohhh... duh.... geez... but by using TQM, not losing TQM.... i want to still be able to use this truck as a DD... cuz reading all this about it feeling "loose" has got me concerned because Tucson is nothing but stop and go traffic... its rediculous...
