I just had my Yank TT3000 installed tonight and it feels bad ***. It smokes the tires a ton, and I'm gonna have to practice my technique for leaving. I did make one pass on the G-tech and spinning thru first gear it went 14.71 at 95.2 mph. I know the MPH is off, but the ET was within a tenth at the track. On another note, we put the gtech in my friends BONE STOCK '02 Denaili SUV and went MUTIPLE 15.28 passes, with me in the truck with him! I was shocked, I didn't expect it to run that good. Any suggestions for bringin' off the truck in order to keep wheel spin to a minimum??? Like I said, I only really made 1 full good run, as it originally had an exhaust leak when reinstalling that had to be corrected. I'm sure I will be able to improve my driving as I get used to the converter. Anyway, back to the question at hand, what kind of tires are you guys running to get the truck to bite?? This converter has just opened up a whole new can of worms...HELP!

It will tighten up some after some miles are on it. Try stalling it at 2000 rpm and let off the break, let it begin to roll, then hammer it. You may have to ease into it rather than hammering it though.
Give it some miles and it will tighten up and not have AS MUCH AS a traction issue. To completely eliminate that from the equation though, slicks are the way to go.

You saw my vid right?
I have to ease into it then punch it..that's the only way I get traction...in my vid the parking lot asphalt was really nice and smooth so it slipped much more than on the street. Watch my third launch how I ease into it then slam it...on the streets it would hook up good with barely any slippage...that's the only way to do it.
I'm thinkin Cal tracs and sand bags in the bed

B F Goodrich Drag radials work for me.The manufacturer suggests running 20psi or less so wheel hop is not that much of a factor. What kind of posi are you running a factory G80 just won't keep things hooked up as well as a Eaton or Auburn Pro.A good set of drag shocks will help by speeding up weight transfer, removing the front sway will help weight transfer to.
