I know some people hate that their traction control defaults to on and I ran across something when I was reading the factory service manual that may be of some use.

If you want your system to default to off instead of on when you turn the truck on:

Start with the vehicle off
Turn key to ON
press and hold brake and accelerator pedals down
press and hold traction control button for 5 seconds
release pedals and button
turn key to off


I dont have TC, so i dont know if it will work, but it may be worth a try if you dont want it on all the time.
