Traction-Control Bars
#1
I've been contemplating on whether adding traction control bars. Several people have advised me not to lower my truck down too much, it may cause some problems during the installation of the bars. A friend told me to just even the truck out (dropping the back a couple of inches)...What do you guys think? Will putting a 4'-6' drop on my truck mess up the way the bars should work?
Thanks
J
ps: If anyone knows....Will the bars actually change the pushing point on the vehicle by redirecting the turning action (spring wrap-up) of the rear axle through the force transfer link into the front pivot???
Thanks

If you're referring to CalTracs, yes, they do lots of things to the geometry of the rear suspension. It will completely eliminate wheel hop, being the end result of axle wrap. The bars have a tendancy to raise the front of the truck as oppose to making the rear squat. They will eliminate the rear from squating as well. So, to answer your other question, leveling the truck would be a good idea too.
I may have a set laying around if you're interested. PM me if so please.
