Default Traction components?

I have made up my mind on a 2wd reg. cab. stepside. (seriously thats it, no more 4wd) <img border="0" title="" alt="[Razz]" src="gr_tounge.gif" /> <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

Now I need help figuring how to get the truck to hook up once the 422 goes in.

I've been thinking of a set of Cal-tracs, an airbag for the right rear, adjustable shocks?, and a set of 28"*? slicks. Maybe some VHT squirters in the wheelwells. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" /> <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

One question. What companies make adjustable shocks? Opinions? I still want to be able to drive the thing on the street. It will not be my daily driver but, It won't be a full drag vehicle either.( <img border="0" alt="[guns]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_guns.gif" /> trailer only)

All opinions are welcome. Thanks

John

HALs or QA1. Ihave these on the front for now and once I decide on ride Height will be buying the rears. The hotchkis rear sway bar is a great mod for keeping the right rear from squating too much.

I'll try the shocks, cal tracs and sway bar first and if needed will add the airbag later.

I will probably go with a 2/4 drop. I saw the picture of BigKIDs' truck and really like the stance. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

I still need to go over a few details of the motor with Nick(ARE) but, I hope I can have this truck done while the tracks are still open this year. The major setup specs will be.

'99 Silverado RCSB stepside

- 4.03" bore * 4.125" stroke
- 240/240 .645/.645 114 (lift values at 1.8 rocker ratio)
- Special 6.0L heads <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />
- Truck intake for now
- ASM Longtubes
- Duel cutouts on 6.0L "Y-pipes"
- PY3600E converter(should be more like a 4000stall with the big motor)
- 28" slicks on lightweight rims/skinnies up front(track only)
- weight reduction(eventually)

I hope it hooks better than my old 355 S10. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

No nitrous or forced induction. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

I can't wait to see what your truck does with the mods you have planned. It'll give me a better idea of what my setup might be capable of. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />
