I'd say you're gearing and lesser weight will help you out. I predict serious traction problems

I think I will also have traction problems as well I plan on getting Caltracs, Eaton posi and Drag radials when money permits. Problem should be solved.

In the low 80's. Mountian Parkway Dragstrip. Clay City, KY.
Best 14.54 @ 91.7mph, 60ft 2.15. G-Timer of same run timed 14.15 @ 95mph.

My original goal when starting with mods to my truck was to get into the 13's and thought I had.
Heat + 1,000 ft elevation = bad times.

You won't be able to compare apples to apples against someone running at sea level on a cool night. I think those times aren't bad at all considering the conditions!

Thanks, I know the times aren't that bad for a 5300 + lb haul. I knew the heat was going to slow her down abit. I just expected mid to high 13's based upon what I had been seeing with my G-Timer. Should start a journal wihile tuning ,noting density altitude in case I get serious about the strip and have to adjust dial in time.

After some thought and reading, my G-timer probably is more accurate than I thought. 1> I should add my reaction time to G-Timer. 14.25 + .319 = 14.57. Righ on my ET for that run. 2> I am not certian my "test track" is entirely level. There might be a slight down grade. Looks level..... but who knows. I read once that you should make a pass in both directions and average the time.

Anyway, planning on putting the cam in next weekend. If I don't have to travel to CA. I'm onboard with the Yank TrT2600 and I'm going to get more serious about tuning. Considering wideband purchase. Bye Bye wheels I had planned.

Thanks for all the Input guys!

ummmm the clock doesnt start till your tires leave the beam. Reaction time has nothing to do with ET.

The clock doesnt start until you tire breaks the second beam, so if you shallow stage it does affect your ET and RT. If you shallow stage it will usually show a slightly better ET, if you deep stage, a better RT. The g-tech starts timing as soon as the truck moves at all, so a shallow stage will effect the time it shows in comparison.
All in all, those times arent that bad.
