stock 3.42's wanting to do 4.10s to keep it drivable on freeway! but thats another grand almost to get those put in to.. slowly but surely it will get there! plus thats as big as i can go without having to change out the whole unit, then were talking a couple thousand just for gears.. i didnt think it was to bad.. what would be rough quater time off that? just guessing?

If you've got the 6 speed, the 3.42s should be more than enough gear off the line because of the ridiculously low first gear. You'd be better off spending that money on a converter.

yes it does have 6 speed, would like to get it built but im not spending 1000 bucks on getting it "STRONGER" so they say.. ima wait until they have some kit come out that i may try, and also those times are with 20's i have some 17's id like to put on and try, but i was pulling my buddys s-10 drag truck so i didnt have time to change them, i was just out there for fun to run his and my truck..

+1, that first gear is STEEP in the 6 speed

If it were me, (I have a 2010 CC 6.2L w/6speed and 3.42s) I would do a small stall before changing gears. That way, when it locks, you are still at the same cruising RPM as you are now and your fuel mileage will not suffer as much. Just my 2 cents

The stock exhaust is 3.5"..... which is suppose to flow up to like 503HP without restriction. I wouldn't waste the money on the cutouts. You already have a straight through muffler..... I really don't see the point. I'm definitely NOT an expert in the performance mod category.

Good luck and Nice times

well see i did some research and on drag time a guy ran 8.94 in 1/8 but ran a 13.8 in the 1/4 same truck but he has a intake! but ya i also tried all the calc. and all came up with that same mid to high 14 second 1/4! http://www.dragtimes.com/GMC-Sierra-Timeslip-13401.html guess the only way would be to take it to a quater mile drag but in arkansas theres not any that i know of... and on a converter what would be a good one that i could still tow a race car trailer loaded? without buring it up? 24ft trailer to be exact
