Default Track Times

I finally got to take my truck to the track. The first time I ran it took me 16 seconds to run the 1/4 mile at 95 mph. The reason that I ran this slow was because I could not get any traction at all. I tryed again but this time I took it easy off the line. I was up against a 2003 mustang gt. You sould have seen the look on his face when I blew by him. That time I ran a 14.02 at 97 mph. I am convinced that when I get a pair of slicks it will be an easy 13 sec run. I also got my cam in the mail the other day. I can't wait to put that in and try it out. Anyway I better go back to turning wrenchs talk to you all lator.

2002 Gmc sierra 4.8 3.73, whipple, headers, Nelson tune and soon my lunati cam

Tractions makes a huge difference. A 2 second one in your case. Nice times. I would've loved to see that mustangs reaction to getting beat by a truck. Keep us updated with new times once you get that cam. Let's see some 13's

It is awesome! It's the only way I am able to run 13psi. I don't have a true intercooler and IATs are 160deg before spraying the Alky. I am able to run 13psi @ 18deg of timing so I'd say it works pretty well Only reason we didn't try more PSI is I feared for my tranny and bottom end since I don't have the cash to fix anything right now.
