More lift will allow those gases, especially in a 6.0 or higher, to exit more efficiently.......With a 317 head (im guessing that is what your running) you will have a 227cc runner or similar with a 72 cc chamber. Your TQ numbers will be highest with the cam with the least overlap within a lobe profile.
So in lay man's terms, which cam should I go with?

My only reservation with going with the 224 is that it is considered the perfect sized DD cam for the 346, so you'd think the 228 is perfect for the 364. The 4.10s will take care of my low end with 6.0L grunt, but I want it to pull like raped ape up top.

You do have a 5000 lb truck.......... From dyno charts posted, you can easily see that the tr224pulls beyond 6K in a 6L, how much more do you want to go?

Yeah, very good point. I sent TSP a PM to see what they see. I think the reality of the matter is that there won't be much difference between either cam.

Oh, and I should add, my goal is to make more power on the dyno than HirdleJ to prove that you don't need fancy ported corvette heads to make good power

It looks like I'm going to end up with the 228r. A member PM'd me with a new one for sale for a very nice price.
