Talking Tr224 Cam--what Do You Think

Thunder Racing Custom Split Pattern Camshaft for Nitrous/Supercharger applications- 224/227 .563/.569 114 LSA (This cam will check in the 226 range on the exhaust lobe.) 2200-6800 RPM Power Band. Excellent mid-range & high RPM power. Automatic cars require computer tuning and it is recommend for optimum results on manual transmission cars. Due to the fast ramp rate of this camshaft, the use of 1.8 rockers is not recommended.

those are the specs. i wanted to keep the lsa up due to the nitrous i am using. bigtex or anybody with any ideas on it or experience or advice. thanks.

right now i have the 216-220-525-532-114 with slp 1.85's that i will get rid of it i get this cam.

You know what I think about big cams

Wussy!

j/k in all actuallity the Vig converters stall higher than they # they are rated at. At least in the LS1 cars they do. So a Vig. 2800 is the equal to a Yank3000. If it works the same way in trucks then you'll be fine.

Dibs on the 1.85 rockers!!!

I say go with the cam! I don't remember seeing that when I was shopping for cams. Is it new? Nevertheless, I think it will love the juice as will you! A 3000stall will be in order, but I guess based off what F8L was saying you should be fine. What gears are you running, because that's a factor in how that stall is going to behave.

edit: I see, 3.90's with a ~30" tire (?), with the 80's 2.48 1st, I think that should be a kick *** setup.

i kinda like the cam i have now as well. it pulls good. especially to run 12's in a big ol truck. this cam will have around the same lift as i do now with the 1.85's. but the duration and all will be different and the 114 lsa should still be great for the nos.
