Would a Thunder Racing 224/224 .563/.563 112l be a to big for a 5.3 with bolts ons. I know I would need Pushrods and Springs. Any info would be great!

I think it would be great. Sound and run SICK!. If your getting it from Scream, just see if he can do a little Edit tuning for it. I dont think it will work to well without tuning though.

hey im going to put the C1 cam in my truck and im getting the tune. Allen said he could tune the truck to handle the cam. Take it back or send it to him to retune it for u. i think the C1 is about the same or little bigger.

I talked to ya few times, but I was in my Sonoma. I had the Silverado up there when the weather was nice.

I'll have to talk to Allen. I just don't to be running the **** outa the truck to get good numbers from this cam. I wasn't planing on a stall. I just want something with some ***, but not really radical. I will be bagging the truck in the fall.

Chris, that cam would be pretty radical in a 5.3. It is slightly larger than the Hammer cam. It would pull like a beast up top, but you would probably loose some down low.

I would personally go with the 212/218 high lift Comp Cam if I were you, or maybe a TR 220 on a 114.

i like the slamed trucks and bagged trucks. Your not planning on dragging the frame on it are you? I never realy could understand why home dude (cant remember his name now) would drag his rollpan off then bondo it up and do it again.
