Default TR220-112LSA and Smog

Im curious if any of you guys have ran a TR220-112 and had any problems with smog, especially in CA. I know TR says go with a 114 to be on the safe side, but with a good tune is it passable? I don't want to have to swap cams to pass smog, but I would like it a little lopey at idle. Thanks in advance I'm ready to order, but undecided. Mods if this belongs in western feel free to move

I have the same concern as you. I just recently installed a 206,210/.510,.510 at 112 LSA on my 99 5.2 dakota. I was told by a very reliable source that as long as i have a fresh tune up, get a near 200 degree engine temp, it'll be near max on the emissions. I have until 09 to worry. However, I'm going to get a "test only" next week to see if all is well. Good luck on your cam pick.

224/224 112s pass all day long with mediocre tunes, a 220 112 should pass untuned

news to my ears. I've heard of 224/224 on 114 lsa cams passing but I know of at least 2 with 224/224 on 112 lsa that didn't pass.
