Default TR220... 112 or 114???

Ive decided on the thunder racing 220/220 .551 .551 but cant decide between getting the 112 or 114. Do you think the loss of some driveability will be worth the HP gains in going with the 112? I guess I am asking how much driveability will be lost in going 112. How will the powerband differ between the 2. Goeff at thunder says 112 for sure, but id like to know from some guys with experience with this type of cam on the street. truck is 5.3 stock heads LT headers no cats with custom y pipe. cut out. tt3000 converter.

Ask Geoff if both cams use the same valve events.

I'm guessing. But they probably do, and the 114 lsa was made available with less overlap for better idle characteristics.

How is it possible to change the LSA without changing the valve events?

I had one on a 112 in my mostly stock 6.0. Without a loose converter like that, it was too quirky for me.

I think you'll be perfectly happy with the 112. In all honesty, I don't think either cam is really all that noticeably different from each other.

I've got soundclips of mine at idle, up all over the site here... you're bound to find them with a search.

Thanks.

Yeah, the lsa is derived by the valve events. Or a by product.
I'm dumb

By the way, would you still mind asking Geoff for those valve events of both camshafts? I'd be interested. If not, I'd be more than willing to do it myself.

Thanks.
