Default TR 224 lope

How does the TR224 on a 112LSA act with the 4.8? Does it give a good nice lope? And what are the typical power increases?

I have not experienced a 4.8L with TR224 on a 112, but I have heard/seen 01Thunder's 4.8L TR224 on a 114LSA. It had a really nice sounding lope to it, and he's put it in the 13s N/A. Maybe he'll see this and post up more info on his feelings about it.

01 thunder. What gears/trans are you running in your truck? How does that cam work at low speeds? Do you notice a lot of surging problems? Soggy low end response? Your cam sounds aggressive like the one in my 1970 chev pickup With a 4spd muncie and 3.73 gears, I don't like how my 70 surges down low, and currently I'm considering a cam swap on my 04 rcsb 4.8 5spd truck. Would a cam swap with the 224 need lower gears?

I am running 3.73's with a 2800 stall.
cutting 2.00 60's at the track on street tires, with an ocasional 1.9X
I would advise a bigger stall for this cam as I will be going bigger soon.
as far as hunting at idle..
it only hunts when coming to a stop, but I think we may have this figured out.
