What's with these things. Do they not have a speed limiter from the factory? I was coming home from work a few minutes ago and a lifted tacoma starts riding my *** so I get on it and pull pretty easy on him. I do this again and then slow down to see if he'll try to pass me so we can get it on, well he did and I was having no problem until I hit the governor and he proceeded to leave me very slowly. Of course then he turned on the hazards which really pissed me off but there was no catching him. I know this shouldn't have happened because I ran with this same truck in my V6 F-150 a few months back.

P.S. Hypertech will be ordered first thing in the morning to remedy this problem.

 

Is your check engine light on? It should be if your truck has a rice burning 5.3 in it. Something is wrong. You should put in a regular 5.3 or a 6.0 and you'll be fine.

 

I imagine it is set higher on the toyota. Yes you need a Hypertech. Then track him down.

alot of foreign cars and trucks don't have them. i know we have yet to find the limiter on my buddys maxima. i figure if its not limited to under 135, its not limited at all.
