How can this be eliminated. It's pissing me off. I never noticed it before the headers but now I do, especially on the 1-2 shift. I know what it is basically, but could one of you give a kick *** informative definition of it. How much will a T/C cange help, like a Yank TT 3000 ?

from what i have heard putting in a converter will make you need to delete torque managment even more. but you can either get it done from people like ed wright or superchips, or pay mti to ls1 edit it, or buy ls1 edit for yourself.

So LS1edit will get rid of the TM? I can really notice it with the few mods I have and my headers will be here next week. I had a buddy check on the superchips custom program and it is in the $600 ballpark.

any mod which increases torque at the sift point will effect TM. This means just about anything you do to increase power will have greater and greater TM issues. I currently am suffering a .6 deficit in the 1/4 with my current set-up due to TM. The primary contributors to the TM issues are the drivelne related mods-3 washer shift kit, pump mods, servo replacement and the TQ converter. All in all I'd do it again but would have had some programming done FIRST. For now I am simply waiting for the LS6 heads to come back from Valley Head Service(stage II preped) and to install the TR224 cam before I begin programming. It has been frustrating having programming undo the mechanical HP/TQ gains of modding. The more power you make, the more radical the TM fights back...delaying shift engagement, reducing line pressure, removing timing and even cutting fuel and holding 3000 rpm.

Fast 4.8, these guys are right about needing custom programming to delete TM. I'm in process of getting one from superchips.I use to have hyper-junk before so I had tried both. superchips charge 250.00 for custom programming, the regular mirco-tuner bought from them is 419.00.

I bought my Superchips for $264 and I'm told it is $150 or so for custom tuning. Not a bad total price to be able to go back to stock if needed.
I just got this email back:
Stage 1 Custom $125.00
Tuning for one or more of the following
Aftermarket Mass Air Meter
Specific setting for rev limiter and or shift points
H or X pipes
Catalytic Converter removed, includes shutting off o2 sensors
Aftermarket high stall torque converter
Vehicle has Shift Kit? No additional charge required, to leave trans tuning stock.
Rear gear ratio change, speedo calibration not available on all vehicles.
Tire height change
Diesel Extreme program
*Supercharger kit with standard pulley and no other modifications
