Torque Managment??
#1
Sorry Guys, Just New Here, This Torque Managment You All Speak Of, Does It Show Up On all Gm Trucks? I Thought it Was Only 4wd Units. What Does It Do And Why Is It There, And If Removed Throught Nelson Tuning Does The Truck Run Harder???

I think it's present on all 99+ trucks, not sure about the trucks before that.
My 2wd truck has TM
It's there to keep the transmission from breaking. It pulls timing through the shifts so it's not so harsh on the transmission.
I have some TM removed on my truck and the shifts are quicker and smoother. I also have a shift kit so that helps.
Do a search, I'm sure you'll come up with a lot of threads on this subject

It's that hesitation feeling you feel between shifts when your on it hard. I'm sure you've felt it before. Its in both 2wd and 4wd trucks. It definately will drop your ET a tenth or two if you remove it, but as Chingon said, its there to cushion the blow on your transmission. I definately wouldn't have it removed unless you have a built transmission or at least the servo's and shift kit. The problem is, the more mods you do and the more power you make, the more you can feel the torque management and the more it is costing you (ET wise). Welcome to the board, it sounds like you've got a nice truck!!!
