torque management
#2
torque management is programed into every gm vehicle.
what it does is protect the drivetrain from to much torque. the computer sensors pick up how much torque your motor is applying and retards the timing to keep from applying full torque and tearing up your trans mision or driveline. the only way to remove torque management completely is to purchase LS1 EDIT. then you can remove torque management. i would not suggest doing this unless you have a transmission that can handle it. if you do it with a stock trans you'll blow it up. but when you do have all of this done you'll have a whole new truck. it runs 100% better than before.

So if I were to remove TM completely and install a Transgo and billet servos, my tranny would take a ****?
I don't beat on my truck and I have a B&M trans cooler, you think I'll be ok?

i have been told you can take out 100% when you install a shift kit and servo but i am being told different things by different people.i do know that i am going to take out at least 80 to 90% of it saturday.

well my trans was totally rebuilt. everything that was put in where performance parts. i explained to the guy that i would be rompin on the truck and going to the track pretty regularly. and i proved it when he gave it back the first time. took me 5 hrs to smoke it. as of right now i have 0 torque management and im lovin it. IMO if you have done nothin to your trans but the transgo and a servo. i would leave the torque management alone cause the stock sun gear is not going to hold up. neither will your clutches. it may not happen as soon as you have it done, it took me almost a year to blow mine up for the second time. just comin from a guy that has gone through 3 transmissions. hopefully this will hold up, kinda the reason why i got a three year warranty with it.
