anyone know were i could get a trailblazer ss torque converter at a decent price?

Yep, the TB SS converter is a V8 torque converter and will not provide a higher stall speed behind a 4.8, 5.3, 6.0 etc. The I6 converter is the smaller one that stalls around 2600 rpm behind a 5.3 on average...
