I have used B it kinda sucked until i found the sweet spot to grap the spring. (Top half and compress it all the way but some extra pressure was needed to remove the retainers at times.) But if i do it again i will be getting the crane tool which i have seen used before it rocks.

+1 for the Crane tool. Spring shoulder slots cut into press plate keep the tool centered over valve stem while leaving the spring locks free and clear for hassle free removal. Spring is held compressed while you have both hands free to remove/install locks.

The Crane tool may be the most expensive, but it is by far the best. Besides doing 2 springs at once, it pushes them straight down and holds them down so you don't physically have to. I've also used the one in the 2nd pic, and it works well but is very tedious to use. I don't like the JPR tool from Thunder Racing, it can slip sideways, doesn't press straight down on the spring (pushes at a slant) and won't get on the rear springs when used in the truck. IMO, the Crane tool was worth every penny

The one from Crane is worth every bit of what it costs!!! It makes it go so quick and easy. IMO, dollar for dollar the best engine type tool I have purchased.
