2 bad i dont got the crane tool in front of me,i only have the first 2,ide order the crane tool,but more down time

There has got to be sombody in the HUGE stat of texas that will prob let you borrow it, if you ask really nice.. Hell a guy from md let me use his when I needed it.. Tex is just a teeeeeny bit bigger, with just a few more members then MD

Shoot ide pay someone to do it,but i live in a small azz town infested with mustangs,not too many lsx fans here to help.

I have used B it kinda sucked until i found the sweet spot to grap the spring. (Top half and compress it all the way but some extra pressure was needed to remove the retainers at times.) But if i do it again i will be getting the crane tool which i have seen used before it rocks.

I used the homemade one when I did my spring no problem except it was slow. if I had a chioce out of all those I would use the crane one

+1 for the Crane tool. Spring shoulder slots cut into press plate keep the tool centered over valve stem while leaving the spring locks free and clear for hassle free removal. Spring is held compressed while you have both hands free to remove/install locks.

just ordered the crane tool,should be here tomorrow,thanks guys,it should come in handy,i plan later down the road to upgrade to comp918's or better.
