Default Took the Silverado to the track Sunday.

Went to the local 1/4 mile track on Sunday to get some baseline runs in. The weather was good and it was a nice day for racin'. I was hoping to get a 15.8 or better.
First run
60' 2.654
1/8 10.644@69.44MPH
1/4 16.233@87.08MPH

A little disappointed, but at least I beat the Escort ZX2. I spun a little bit.

Second run
60' 2.555
1/8 10.495@69.47MPH
1/4 16.081@87.15MPH

Better launch this time. I was pleased with this run. I figure not too bad for a 5000 LB. truck. Also, I had 3/4 of a tank of gas. I should see a 15.8 pretty easily next time out.

At least you didn't break anything like I did. My best was 14.6 @ 91mph then some thing broke. I'm going to take it in Monday. I't drives but sounds like an old ferd right now

I went back to the track today with alot less gas this time. It was a pretty good day for racin' again. I got in 5 runs today. I had a hard time launching without the added weight of the fuel today. I also tried to tach it up at the line on a couple of my runs, not good.

First run
60' 2.530
1/8 10.446@69.85MPH
1/4 16.030@86.96MPH
Spun a tad bit, but a new best.

Second run
60' 2.342
1/8 10.211@69.86MPH
1/4 15.774@87.59MPH
WHOOHOO, I'm stoked. New bests all the way around.

The other 3 runs were from 16.2-16.0. I'm excited that it did that well, it was just hard to get a good launch without spinning. This damned peg-leg is holding me back I think. I can't wait until aftermarket stuff starts coming available for my truck. I'll keep you guys posted.

PS- Fast4.8, I hope there's nothing seriously wrong with your truck. That's the worst feeling when you hear the sound of breakage. Hopefully the dealer will take care of you.
