Well the body is 24". It's called a 30" though. Is yours like that or is the body shorter?

Then that's the same one I have, 24" body 30" overall. This muffler is 4" all the way through, unlike the 30" body 36" OAL which has a 3.5 core.

Well, dropped the spare tire and was able to get under the rear with it on the ground. Made a "you idiot" finding. What I though was the bottom of the bed was actually the heat shield. I need to clearance the "rail" on the underside of the bed and I'll have the room I need. Basically it's the same thing that needs to be done when the rear is dropped 8+ inches to allow clearance for the axle pumpkin.

From top of axle to bottom of bed measured 5.25"

Actual clearance from true bottom of bed to axle 8.5"

How exhaust shop set up the pipe when welding in the magnaflow muffler. Plenty of clearance here folks.

Clearance with the pipe completely up against the bed heat shield

So you gonna take the heat shield off and notch the rail running side to side under the bed? Sounds like a good idea.

Yep, that's exactly what I'm going to do. Clearance for weeks once I do that I doubt I'll even bother putting in a support there, eventhough Belltech makes one for that rail. It should only be a 4" segment or thereabouts.

I've also thinking about doing some oval exhaust and bringing it all the way out behind the rear tire area.

He'll yea.! I can't wait to try that on mine now. I thought mine would be stuck before the axle with 4"

Here's a question, I have a 4" exhaust waiting to go on and was wondering something. Does anyone have any room underneath to mount a single 4" cat somewhere? I was thinking of doing this to quiet things down a bit and to clean up the smell. What are your thoughts, guys? I don't want to cut and weld the headers.

Glad you got it figured out. How much extra clearance does the shield removal get you? Hopefully the heat from the pipe being so close wont damage the paint on the bed at all. do you have a bed liner or anything?

It gives an extra 2-3", and the bed rail has to be notched.

Bed paint? Lol. This thing has seen much better days. Wont be an issue.
