I've never really seen any good gains from it on an F-bod so I never tried it on a truck. The tricker is simply a resistor so if you can find the right value for a truck your set. That is assuming it doesnt use the same value.

Yeah, the value is in Ohms but I dont remember off the top of my head what it was for the F-bods. You can probably find it on the Install University website or the FAQ on this site. If I can find it I will post back up for you but that strill doesnt tell us if it is right for the 4.3L

Use an 8.1K resistor, it will show the truck a 43* (+/- 5*) intake temp with an outside temp of 85*......the IAT temps will go up and down up 1:1 with outside temps

If you are worried about the engine seeing too much timing and inducing KR you can use a 5.6K resistor and show the engine a 56* (+/- 5*) intake temp at 85* outside temps

this mod works on some engines and not on others so if you don't see any improvements don't be too disappointed.....you really need AutoTap to see any timing increases

At the MAF sensor pull the wire loom open and about 4" down cut the BROWN wire, strip about .5" of insulation from the wire ends, solder (or wrap REALLY well) the resistor to the wire ends, wrap the soldered connection well (or use liquid electrical tape if you have it...it works VERY well) and enjoy....
