Default Timing spikes low when I launch???UPDATE..Fixed with spark retard limit.

Whenever I launch I bring the rpm's to 2000, then let go of the brake and floor it. My logs all say the same thing- 35 degrees timing while I brake torque at 2000rpm, then as soon as I floor it, timing drops to about 6 degrees by the time it hits 4000 (my stall). It takes until 5000rpm or so to recover to 15.5 degrees where it stays for the rest of the run.

No KR at all.

I followed the directions on an LS1 edit FAQ site for removing torque management:A4 shift firmness>Torque reduction-set to 0 A4 shift firmness>Upshift torque reduction-set to 0 Ignition>Max torque-set to 639 Ignition>Torque reduction-set to 0. Did I miss anything??

I also made sure my timing in the octane tables in edit were all set at 16 degrees from 2000rpm to 4000rpm from .5 g/cyl on up to 1.2g/cyl. So I at least know I'm covered in that table.

What am I missing guys? Anyone else have similar problems?

Its launching super hard now on 6 degrees, so I'd like to get it up to at least 15.

I know Flyer has edit 1.32A. How about a look at the fuel ratio vs. rpm modifier table? Would anybody be willing to post a screen shot of the table? Maybe it subtracts timing in the 3000-5000 rpm range.

Looking through edit, found the max engine torque table. Mines at 250-360 depending on rpm. Does anyone know anything about this table? Seems like it should be set alot higher. What do you guys have yours set at?

You could zero out the TCS Retard table, and the Spark retard limit table, that might help a little.

That's the only thing I see that I think it could be. I am by no means an EDIT guru though.

The table you are asking about though only adds timing when in PE mode. It doesn't pull timing anywhere.

Thanks for checking that table. What does TCS stand for? I'll try zeroing it.

I agree with Flyer. Zero out the traction control and the torque reduction tables should fix that for you. You can also turn off abuse mode, but I think zeroing out those tables takes care of it...

He did have the abuse mode disabled in the engine frame ... the tranny frame was still enabled, but was 0'ed out.

How did that work for ya?
