Default Timing set and oil pump

In the middle of my forged 370 build. Block is gen III 6.0L. Cam is Isky triple 12 .56x/.56x lift(3 bolt style). Running a 76mm front mount @ 16-18 psi. I need recommendations on timing sets and oil pumps. Should I run an ls1 HD single, ls2 HD single, ls1 double, or ls2 double? Also curious on oil pumps. What is everyone running? I see my options as a melling stock volume/high pressure pump, melling high volume/stock pressure pump, or should I just run a factory ported unit? Any remmondations or advice is appreciated. Thanks

I've run melling stock replacements on all the engines I've built, never had a problem and I play rough with my engines. As long as your bearing clearances are where they are supposed to be....a stock pump is all you need.

Only reason to go with a double chain is if the cam you're running is really aggressive, has a high ramp rate, or you're running very high spring pressures. If the cam is mild, an OE set will work fine.
