I don't think it's Torque Management. Seems like he would need more mods to really feel TQ MGMT. Could it be the servo is installed wrong?
It could be shift points are not set right too though.

I know in my truck, when i installed the servo i immediately felt Torque managment way more than without the servo. To me, the harder the shift, the more you feel the loss of power. without the servo, I could barely notice the TQ managment. also, if the servo was in wrong or if something was left out, tranny would most likely not shift at all or if it did very wildly

Well, without the servo, my shifting was kinda drawn out. Didn't go directly into gear quickly. Now it shifts quick and falls down or jumps a bit and then falls on its face. I am at a +4 from 1st to 2nd, and +11 from 2nd to 3rd and crossing the line right around 4200 rpm. I used to be at a +5, but started hitting the rev limiter so i droped it. And yes, rev limit is set at 6200.....

What you think now that i have some info for you..... <img border="0" alt="[bang head]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_banghead.gif" /> <img border="0" title="" alt="[Confused]" src="images/icons/confused.gif" />

Shift points look good, same with rev limiter. Did you install the servo, or someone else? The reason I ask, someone on here installed theirs wrong, and I can't remember what happened when it was installed wrong. Anyone remember that? I can't find the link. It could be TQ MGMT, but just seems like with your mods, it shouldn't be that bad. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Confused]" src="images/icons/confused.gif" />

I know it is in right cause i had a friend that works at a dealership get it and install it for me. Plus i was right there watching him...

I know, cause with that servo and my nitto's i should have ran in the 14's and my first pass that was the 15.002, i hit the rev limiter in first so that would have been that 14 that i was looking for.

Try taking the HPP3 shift firmness off. It will still shift better than when you just had the HPP3, but both together might be a little too much.

Default Timing question with shifting

It had been told to me that when my truck shifts, that the times retards so the tranny doesn't get messed up. Is that so? And where do i get it removed?

The reason i am asking is cause it actually falls on its face when shifting now since i installed the Vett Servo into the tranny.....

Thanks for the help... <img border="0" alt="[bang head]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_banghead.gif" />

Sounds like torque management. You'll need custom tuning or LS1edit to get rid of it. I think the Diablo tuner can get rid of some of it too. How high are your shift points?

Definitly Torque Management. And it will take a tuner such as LS1EDIT or the Diablo Programmer to get rid of it. I have the Diablo and I am 100% satisfied with the reduction of torque management. Shifts are quick and snappy and i feel i lose no time in between shifts. While Torque management is hated by us dedicated quarter milers, it may not really be a concern for you. It all depends on what your going to do with your truck. If you plan on hauling anything other than ***, i would leave the torque managment alone just as a precaution.
