My throttle is sticking on my 4.8 L Silverado. I have checked the cable the linkage everything. Do I just nedd to take the TB off and clean it and if so what do I clean it with.

Clean that throttle body. Mine was sticking and it sounded like I was trying to race everybody off the light with the dual exhaust(flowmasters). <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="gr_eek2.gif" /> <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" /> I cleaned it the other day when I put my UPD intake on and it doesn't stick anymore. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" /> The throttle blade was getting hung up on all the oily crud that had built up around it. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="gr_eek2.gif" />

for sticking throttle gm as a tsb on all 1999 and most 2000. if cleaning does not fix, than the bulletin has a updated throttle body due to the plate getting stuck in bore.
