I have everything I need to do my NNBS intake swap with the exception of a throttle body. I'm ready to buy one but apparently it's possible to get one that won't work. All of the info I have is conflicting. Some threads say not to use a gold blade but I tuned a truck last weekend that ran very well with the same swap and a gold blade ls2 style TB. Can anyone give me the part number for the best one to use for my 06 Tahoe?

 

I'm assuming that's a 4 bolt and you are looking for a 90MM?. I have an LS3, and this is what I bought for mine. They are a little pricey, but they have customer support. You can contact them and ask for your application.

Actually, I'm upgrading from a 3 bolt to a nnbs intake. I have an x-link. I'm about to buy a silver blade ls2 style one from a guy on ls1tech.

 

You can use either throttle body. The silver usually goes for more money, and that is the LS2 throttle body. You would be fine with the gold one. When people have issues on a NA engine it does not have anything to do with the design of the throttle body, it is due to a mechanical failure inside the throttle body.

Mine has a gold blade throttle body on it, runs perfect. Just got it installed tonight and it cranked right up and on I went to the track. It picked up almost .2 and 1.5 mph from last time I went.
