Default Throttle Body Spacers ?????

I first want to thank the gods for this site. It has always come through when I have had a question or just required input. My first posted question is(bear with me I'm kind of old school) how come I don't see anyone with TB spacers.I'm considering the Helix type from Street Preformance & Electronics. I have built a few "carbed" engines in my time but this is my first FI project. My plan is to do everything bolt on that I can now,(Headers and the normal stuff)then go internal when the Service Contract expires. I also need to know where I can get an adjustable Fuel Pressure Reg. I can't seem
to find one in Summit,Jegs or the like.(I know the stock on is adjustable but it really looks cheesey.) Any advise from you Guys is really appreciated. Anyone around Charlotte got LS1 edit,Or wanna' go in on it???

I have a Helix Spacer and the only reason I use it is because I don't need a $100 paperweight. I would suggest not spending the money on it. I saw absolutly no gain other than a whistle. The intakes on these trucks have a long enough intake runner on them anyway. Your feul pressure is adjustable, you just need Auto tap to do it properly. Coils, there are some, not really familiar with them though. Until you start pushing some huge hp #'s, like over 500, you should be fine with what you have. I'm not saying don't do either, I'm just saying put them lower on the priority list.

I would have to completely agree with Greg. I think that I might feel a slight improvement in throttle response, but you know that the SOTP meter can sometimes fool ya! I got absolutely no ET gain from the TB spacer! The whistling is either cool or will get on your ever-lasting nerves...right now, I kinda like the whistle!

Good luck with the truck!

I have one of the Poweraid TB spacers in my truck. All it seemed to do to me was whistle. It is currently installed under my back seat. Doesn't whistle as bad there.
