Default throttle body question

I ported the tb on my 06 6.0 hd tonight and when i re-installed it, i forgot to plug in the tps plug. Well I fired it up and i had no throttle response and hit the pedal a few times with no response and a check engine light with the reduced engine power message. Crap. So i remembered the plug and while engine was running, plugged it back in with no change what so ever. Shut it off, restarted to find the same thing. Disconnected the neg terminal off the battery, let sit for 15 min or so then reconnected and fired her up to find no message and a perfect idle BUT, the check engine light is still on. The truck runs fine, but the light is still on. Drove it a few miles home and it was still on. What gives?

if they don't clear it, just give it a few drive cycles...

Yea, they should clear it out for you if you tell them what happened...if not it will eventually go off and you'll just have the code stored in history

No problems. Its just letting you know that a code was thrown at some point. After a few days it should go away especially if you say its driving just fine. If anything I would imagine the tune would clear it out anyways. Worst case take it to AutoZone or similar place and have them clear it.

Justin will be able to retrieve and clear the code for you when he does the tune, I'm sure that it's just from the TPS being unplugged.

Yeah, that's what I was going to say. It's just from the tps being unplugged. It'll clear out after a few cycles or you can get it erased.
