Default Throttle body question.....

I am going to have the throttle body ported by a friend of mine who does porting. Does anyone know the stock size of the TB and what size it is after porting?

Im pretty sure its 77mm. You can port as big as the walls will allow. Just dont run any combustable air through it....ha <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />

Stock IS 77mm at blade. It funnels up at the restriction that gets ported out.

The hole in the intake is only 77mm, so why go to an 80mm unless you port match the manifold.

I did more reading and you'll prolly gain around 8-10 rwhp. Not bad for $125 or less.

If I do this, do I need a new gasket or can I reuse the old one? Is it probably going to tear when I take it off?

I think the stock size is a bit smaller than 77. Its more like 65m. I went to a bbk 80mm and its great. just my 2c's
